409 Conflict

batch_not_resumable — Batch not resumable

Message “Batch is in status <status> and cannot be resumed.”

What causes it

  • Resume applies only to an `interrupted` batch that still has `queued` rows (a worker restart or a cancel mid-run). Completed, running, or cancelled batches cannot be resumed.

How to fix it

  1. For a finished batch with failed rows, use `POST /batches/{id}/retry_failed` instead.
  2. If the batch is still `running`, wait for `batch.completed` or poll `GET /batches/{id}`.

Operations that return it
